Share Sound: the digital creative space

Chineke! is delighted to be part of the expanded Orchestras Live project Share Sound, a digital creative space that enables young musicians to collaborate remotely with professional orchestras during the Covid-19 pandemic.

After a successful pilot project with Lincolnshire Music Hub and professional Chineke! mentors, the programme is being rolled out to other UK music hubs.

In 2021, Chineke! music leaders are focusing on young musicians at Lincolnshire Music Service and Nottinghamshire Music Hub to develop ensemble playing skills and composition techniques. We are delighted that composer James B. Wilson has joined the Chineke! team to help create and facilitate these sessions.
