UPDATE: Chineke! concerts
Chineke! Orchestra North America tour
Chineke! Orchestra's concert tour to the USA and Canada scheduled for 14-27 April 2020 will no longer take place. This is due to the coronavirus outbreak and the resulting travel restrictions imposed across the world and the closure of most of the concert venues in Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Ann Arbor, Worcester MA and Ottawa, Canada. As a result, the seven performances with conductor Kevin John Edusei and soloists Stewart Goodyear and Sheku Kanneh-Mason will not be going ahead on the dates originally planned.
Chineke!'s Executive and Artistic Director Chi-chi Nwanoku OBE says: "We are utterly disappointed not to be touring, however, we understand and support this decision in the interests of the safety and wellbeing of our performers, audiences and colleagues. We very much look forward to reinstating the North American tour at the earliest possible date as soon as this crisis has passed."
With regret, we must announce that all of the following concerts have been affected by the disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
